Militancy: Five troops hurt defusing IED in Bajaur

KHAR: Five security personnel were critically wounded while defusing an improvised explosive device (IED) in Bajaur Agency on Tuesday.  Confirming the incident, a political administration said the blast occurred in the Babara Chaharmang area of Nawagai subdivision. “The security personnel were trying to defuse an IED when it went off, injuring five people, including Bomb Disposal Unit’s Naib Subedar Mujeeb,” he said. “Four seriously injured personnel were airlifted to Peshawar while one, who had received minor injuries, was driven to the agency headquarters hospital in Khar,” he said.
