Quake relief: Volunteers from Pakistan reach Nepal

A team of HANDS has started work in most affected areas of Nepal

The Pakistan chapter of London-based non-profit organisation, HANDS, has sent a team of volunteers to Nepal to help in earthquake disaster relief, a press release said on Sunday. “A team of HANDS has started work in most affected areas of Nepal,” senior manager of the organisation Nadeem Wagan said. A team of doctors and paramedical staff was assisting the quake victims, while HANDS volunteers were also busy in distributing relief goods, he said, asserting, “Our team represents Pakistan.” Dr Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, the chief executive of HANDS International London said: “I appeal people of Pakistan to help people of Nepal.”
