As many as 30 people, including nine Afghans, were taken into custody by the police in a city-wide operation carried out over the weekend. A police spokesperson said police teams were now interrogating the suspects. He said they were arrested over their failure to produce any identity documents. Operations DIG Haider Ashraf said the operation would continue for as long as the Zimbabwean cricket team was in the city. Separately, two men were arrested from near Gaddafi Stadium after Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) officials recovered several cell phone subscriber identity module (SIM) cards from them.
