Benefit of doubt: Murder complaint against 13 police officials dismissed

LAHORE:

Judge Sher  Awan dismissed on Saturday a complaint by a woman seeking a case against 13 police officials for killing her son in a staged encounter.

Najma Bibi said on June 20, 2012, some police officials had abducted her son from Soay Aasil canal and killed him in a fake encounter. The judge said the alleged encounter had taken place on June 20, 2012, but the complaint was filed a year later on June 11, 2013.
