Higher education: USEF to help the Punjab with faculty training

Community colleges to be facilitated through training programmes for the faculty and management staff

LAHORE:

A delegation of United States Educational Foundation (USEF) led by Executive Director Rita Bruun Akhtar visited the office of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and met the PHEC chairperson. He gave the delegation an overview of the role, plans, strategies and activities of the PHEC.

He told the delegation that the commission would enforce reforms in a more effective way to improve quality of higher education and research. It was decided that community colleges in the province would be facilitated through training programmes for the faculty and management staff. Representatives of both organisations agreed that various joint events should be organised.
