Uplift projects: Improving roads and infrastructure

Uplift projects initiated with specific focus on improving roads and infrastructure.

PESHAWAR:
A number of uplift projects have been initiated in the city with a specific focus on improving roads and infrastructure, said Director General Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Qazi Laeq here on Saturday. Talking to APP, he said that repair work on Ring Road has been initiated at a cost of Rs2.5 billion. He said the aim of these projects is to resolve traffic problems and boost trade in the area. Moreover, besides improving roads and communication system in Hayatabad, PDA is also working on projects to beautify the city.

The recently opened Ghani Bagh in Phase 2 Hayatabad - which is the first park where solar lights were installed as part of the government’s energy conservation programme - was included in these projects.


While answering a question about Regi Lalma Model Town, DG PDA said that issue regarding demarcation of Maifi Grifitt lane will be resolved, soon after which developmental work would be started in zone I, II and V of Regi Lalma Model Township. PDA has given possession letters in Zone III and IV of Regi and electricity will be provided soon.
