Police are investigating a shopkeeper for attempting to kill an employee over alleged theft, said a police official.
When approached for comments, Zahoor, denied the allegations and said he had asked Zahid to return the Rs60,000 worth bangle. He claimed Zahid himself drank the acid to avoid punishment.

Police are investigating a shopkeeper for attempting to kill an employee over alleged theft, said a police official.
Banni police on Friday started investigation against Muhammad Zahoor, a jewellery shop owner, in response to a complaint filed by Robina Zahid, the wife of Muhammad Zahid, an employee at the shop.
The complainant said Zahoor tried to kill her husband with acid for allegedly stealing a gold bangle from the store on May 20.
She alleged that Zahoor, along with police officers, forced him to consume battery acid. Zahid is admitted at DHQ Hospital.
