Law enforcement: Official suspended over wheat scam
The minister said that if any report regarding corruption in wheat handling is received
KARACHI:
The Sindh minister for food, excise and taxation, forest and wildlife and minority affairs, Gayan Chand Israni, has suspended the district food controller Khairpur, Najeeb Nareejo, on charges of alleged misappropriation in wheat procurement. A committee has been constituted for the inquiry against Najeeb Nareejo and will submit a report in this regard, said a statement issued on Friday. The minister said that if any report regarding corruption in wheat handling is received, action will be taken against the officer or staff member concerned.
