Bani Gala: Man mysteriously found dead
Man found dead in room of his house, room was locked from outside.
ISLAMABAD:
A young man was found dead in the room of his house under unexplained circumstances. The room was locked from outside, while 30-year-old Qaisar Iqbal was allegedly strangulated to death with his hands and feet tied to the bed. The actual cause of his death will only be ascertained after autopsy and chemical examiner’s report.
Police suspected the man was murdered for personal enmity; however, his relatives did not accuse any one in particular in the case registered against unknown persons in Bhara Kahu police station.
According to police, Iqbal was living in a house in Street 1 in Bani Gala where his nephew Zubair Iqbal tried to contact him on the phone. When Iqbal did not answer his call, Zubair informed another maternal uncle who sent him to see Iqbal at his residence.
Zubair found his house and subsequently his room locked from outside.
He again dialed his cell phone number and heard his phone ringing from his room. He broke the locks and discovered that his uncle was lying on bed with his hands and feet tied to bed poles. ‘There was a deep cut on his neck as if with a sharp wire,” Zubair told the police.
Initial investigations revealed that Iqbal had secretly married some girl without informing his family. His uncles and other relatives maintained ignorance about the marriage.
However, the police started investigations to uncover the motive behind the murder and trace the people involved in it.
