Two prisoners convicted for murder and kidnapping were hanged in jails in Punjab early Wednesday morning, Express News reported.
Zulfiqar, a prisoner on death row was hanged in Faisalabad Central Jail, in Thikriwala area for kidnapping a taxi driver named Arshad.
Meanwhile in Macch Central Jail, Muhammad Moosa Khan was executed for murdering a man in 2005 over personal rivalry.

Security during the hangings was tight, while access to unauthorised persons was prohibited.
After a six-year moratorium on execution of death penalties, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in December 2014 allowed capital punishment for those who have already been sentenced to death in terrorism cases.

Premier Nawaz took this step in the wake of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan's attack at the Army Public School and College in Peshawar on Tuesday which killed 148 people most of them children.
