A Roof For The Night: Father evicted by sons seeks help
He has been facing immense hardships for several months
PESHAWAR:
Forced out of the house by his sons, 60-year-old Muhammad Yunus seeks shelter in mosques and shops; wondering where his next night will be spent. With tears in his eyes, the man said at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club that he has been facing immense hardships for several months. This is despite the fact that a dispute resolution committee (DRC) directed his sons to give him Rs1.3 million. However, he still has nowhere to spend the night as the sons have only paid Rs0.3 million. Even instructions to the relevant police station to resolve the case and implement the DRC’s orders have provided no relief. “Muhammad Amjad, one of my grandsons who is a gunner for DSP Chamkani Shafiullah Khan, threw away the DRC documents,” Yunus said. He added the police were reluctant to take action in the absence of the documents which carried the detailed verdict of the DRC. Yunus appealed to authorities to resolve his problems as he could no longer face such hardships.
