Four persons were killed and 15 others, including women and children, were injured when a passenger van overturned near Magsi Stop, Kandhkot, on the Indus Highway on Monday night.


The van was on its way to Thull from Kandhkot when the tyre rod broke due to speeding. As a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, killing him as well as three passengers, while 15 others were left wounded.

The deceased were identified as the van driver, Karamullah Nandvani, Misri Nandvani, Ghulam Sarwar Soomro and Muhammad Khan Bugti.

The injured, including Altaf Bugti, Shahmour Bugti, five-year-old Ambareen, Manzooran, Khair Muhammad, Mujahid Shah, Ram Mukh and Shahzaman, were shifted to a hospital in Kandhkot for treatment.
