Illegal fuel depot raided, two held
Cases were also registered against the arrested men under Section 285
ISLAMABAD:
Fifty thousand litres of diesel was seized in a police raid headed by Assistant Commissioner (Rural) Waqas Rahid on an illegal depot on Monday.
The Khanna police arrested two men during the raid conducted in Iqbal Town and fined them Rs 30,000. The house where the illegal activity was being carried out was also sealed.
Alleged criminals had built a large underground fuel tank and installed two dispenser machines, an official said.
Cases were also registered against the arrested men under Section 285 (negligent conduct with respect to fire or combustible matter) and 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
