Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif vowed on Monday to transform the province into an abode of peace and justice.
Addressing the passing out parade of police officers at Sihala Police College in Islamabad, Shahbaz said operation Zarb-e-Azb has caused a major blow to the terrorists.
The Punjab chief minister said social and economic justice will be brought in the society to address the root causes of terrorism.
Lauding the innumerable sacrifices rendered by the police officials in the war on terror, Shahbaz said these will not go in vain and time will come when the country will be completely purged of the curse of terrorism.
On the occasion, the Punjab chief minister announced an amount of Rs2.5 million for those who have imparted training to the newly inducted police officers.
