
Four days after the deadly attack on a bus carrying members of the Ismaili community, the police finally registered a case against 10 unidentified persons on Sunday.
A group of armed militants entered the bus carrying over 50 passengers belonging to the Ismaili community on Wednesday morning. The assailants shot them one by one, killing 45 people.
Since the attack, law enforcement agencies have conducted several raids in Karachi, taken more than 500 people into custody, ramped up routine checking and increased intelligence operations.
Despite all the efforts, not a single suspect has been arrested. The police have yet to ascertain which group was behind the attack and what their motive was.
On Sunday, the police registered a case against 10 unidentified men at the Sacchal police station on behalf of the state. According to police officials, the Aga Khan community has refused to register a case.
