Fatal mishap: Kite string claims man’s life

KARACHI: A young man was killed when a sharp kite string slit his neck near Sea View within the limits of the Darakshan police station on Sunday afternoon. Twenty-eight-year-old Muhammad Siddiq, son of Mehboob Hussain, was passing from the area on his motorcycle when a kite string cut his neck. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police officials said the deceased was a resident of Moosa Lane, Lyari. The body was handed over to the family for burial after medico-legal formalities were completed at the hospital. A case has yet to be registered.
