Open case: Teenage girl found dead
Family members assume it was suicide and say they do not know why Javeria took her life
HARIPUR:
A 17-year-old girl is said to have committed suicide over unknown reasons in Khanpur, said the police on Sunday. Khanpur police quoted Khan Afsar, a resident of Pind Muneem village, as saying his daughter Javeria was alone at home while he and other family members were out in the fields to collect wheat husk. He added when they returned they saw Javeria was bleeding from the mouth and she was lying unconscious. The family took her to a hospital but she died before she could receive medical assistance. Family members assumed it was suicide and said they do not know why Javeria took her life. Police registered a case and started looking into whether it was a suicide or murder.
