Mirza allegedly directed guards to shoot any police official who harrassed them
Former minister reportedly made the direction in an appearance before ATC on May 16
KARACHI:
Former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, at his appearance before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi on Saturday, had allegedly directed his guards to “shoot any police official” who harassed them, Express News reported.
The estranged PPP leader appeared before court in a case regarding his alleged showdown at Model Police Station in Badin on May 3. He had manhandled security personnel deployed at the police station for trying to arrest and registering an FIR against his aide.

The former minister had reportedly stormed the station along with his supporters, abused officials and damaged furniture for filing a case against Nadeem Mughal.
Earlier, Information Minister Sharjeel Memon slammed Mirza for moving with a 'militia' in the city and ordering his guards to act aggressively towards the police.
He and his companions were barred from entering court premises for chanting slogans outside the court yesterday (May 17).
