KARACHI:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday approached the Sindh High Court (SHC) against a judicial magistrate who failed to appear to record his statement in the 2011 Chakra Goth case.

The ATC-V requested the SHC registrar to direct the then judicial magistrate of District East, Abdul Haleem, to appear before the court on May 23, adding that he had been summoned multiple times. Nineteen suspects from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement have been charged with attacking the house of Ashiq Chandio of the Sindh Dost Party and killing his two aides.
