A thousand words: Book brings together work of photographers
Year Book 2015 showcases pictures of over 100 photographers from the across the world.
The Photographic Art Society of Pakistan (PASP) in collaboration with Lok Virsa launched its pioneering Year Book 2015 project at the Heritage Museum, Hall of Changing Exhibitions on Saturday.
The project is a unique one which portrays the efforts of a high number of talented photographers under one umbrella.
The year book showcases the work of more than 100 photographers from the across the world ranging from famous legendary photographers to young talented newbies.
The PASP through this book has endeavoured to promote not only the art of photography but has also contributed towards portraying the real, rich depiction of our cultural heritage to the world, a
statement issued on Saturday said.
Lok Virsa Executive Director Fouzia Saeed lauded efforts of PASP for promoting photography as an art together with strengthening the soft image of Pakistan internationally. She underlined the need for promotion of arts and culture as an integral part of sustainable development of the country.
The book launch ceremony was conducted by Abdul Sattar Khokhar, a senior civil service officer who shares a strong passion for photography and himself is a distinguished photographer. He introduced the objectives of the year book to participants and appreciated the efforts of not only the executive members of the society, but all the artists whose work forms the rainbow of images.
