AFC U23 Championship: Pakistan lose 5-0 to Jordan in opener
The men in green need to win remaining two fixtures to qualify for main round.

Pakistan suffered a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Jordan in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship qualifiers at the Al-Qattara Stadium in Al-Ain, UAE on Saturday.
Jordan were leading 2-0 at the interval, asserting their credentials as the top team in Group B and finished off their opening match 5-0 as Pakistan had no reply to their well-disciplined and probing attack.
Pakistan are part of the competition along with Jordan, Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait in their group, while earlier, Turkmenistan had withdrawn from the tournament.
The team will have to win their remaining two fixtures in order to qualify for the main round of the championship that will take place next year.
In the last edition of the championship, Pakistan were placed in Group B and finished bottom of the table out of six teams.
