Necessary education: Farmer training project launched

The Sindh Agriculture University is launching a five-year research and training project for farmers engaged in the cultivation of dates, guavas, onions and chilies as well as livestock breeders. The project’s estimated cost will be $4 million, which will be arranged through a loan from the World Bank. A meeting, attended by vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mujeebuddin Sahrai and World Bank representative Nazar Hussain Mahar among others, decided to launch a radio station for the farmers’ training.
