Murder, Kidnap: Death warrants issued for convict

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court issued death warrants on Thursday for a convict accused of murder and kidnap for ransom. He will be executed on May 16. In 2002, Ahmed Khan had kidnapped Sufi Abdul Majeed in the Racecourse police area and later killed him. An ATC had sentenced him to death and the Lahore High Court and Supreme Court had upheld the verdict. The president had also dismissed his plea for clemency.
