KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan said that Bangladesh have shown positive intent to play a series in Pakistan, Express News reported.
Shahryar arrived in Lahore after a visit to India where he met Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials and many government functionaries to discuss bilateral cricketing relations.
While talking to the reporters he said, "We have invited Bangladesh to visit Pakistan for a series and they have shown positive signs.
"The fans were happy to witness Pakistan visiting their country for a series."
Moreover, talking about his visit to India he said that the visit was successful.
"My visit to India was quite successful and their government has shown great interest in the series which is being planned to be played in the UAE in December.
"We have signed the MOUs in accordance with Future Tours Program."
Furthermore, he said they have invited bids from the Indian broadcasters for the impending Pakistan-India series.
"We have invited the Indian broadcasters to bid for the rights but they looked a little confused about it."
Shahryar invites BCCI official to Pakistan
Shahryar has invited Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials and certain government functionaries to Pakistan for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe in Lahore, reported NDTV.
A reliable source was quoted that in a bid to improve cricketing relations with the neighbouring country Shahryar met with the key leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur in New Delhi to forward invitations.
Recently, Pakistan and India have been trying to plan a series in the UAE in December to revive the Pakistan-India cricketing ties.

"We are hopeful that Arun Jaitley or Anurag Thakur will come to Lahore as our special guests for one of the limited-overs matches against Zimbabwe in Lahore later this month," a source told Press Trust of India.
Zimbabwe will become the first nation after 2009 to visit Pakistan for a series which comprises of two Twenty20s and three ODIs.
Shaharyar, a former career diplomat who was once a High Commissioner of Pakistan in New Delhi, also met with BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya during a visit to Kolkata.
The PCB source added that the chairman also put forth his concerns about Pakistani players not being able to participate in the lucrative Indian Premier League.
"Dalmiya has assured that he will look into the matter and it would also be discussed at the next working committee meeting of the Indian board," the source added.
He said the PCB chief had conveyed to his Indian counterpart that Pakistani players should be allowed to play for franchises in the IPL as this would help in development of Pakistan cricket.
