Australia is eager to help Pakistani farmers improve their businesses, increase profitability and alleviate poverty through collaborative research and development programs. This was stated by Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Country Program General Manager Dr Peter Horne.
He was heading an ACIAR delegation to hold talks with University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and partnering officials to shortlist priority areas of future collaboration under the Agri-Value Chain Collaborative Research Programme. The vice chancellor greeted the Australian team, thanked its government and people for extending their assistance to Pakistani partners.
