Rao Anwar reinstated as SSP Malir two weeks after suspension

Almost two weeks after alleging that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) maintains connections with the Indian intelligence agency RAW and getting suspended as a result, Rao Anwar has been reinstated as SSP Malir, Express News reported.
Hours after the Anwar’s allegations against MQM, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had taken notice of the briefing, after which IG Sindh suspended Anwar and ordered him to report to the Central Police Office.

SSP Rao had presented two alleged terrorists who he claimed belonged to the MQM. The official further claimed that the MQM was actively working against Pakistan.
“Key MQM leaders have connections with RAW,” he said, adding that the arrested MQM workers had received training from India’s spy agency RAW.
The SSP said he had evidence to support his claims, including their passports and their statements. “MQM workers from every sector go to India for training via Bangkok,” he said.
The MQM had held a press conference later that day, rejecting SSP Rao Anawar’s allegations, claiming that contrary to Anwar’s allegations, MQM activists Tahir and Junaid had been picked up weeks ago.
