The counsel for PML-N, Shahid Hamid told the three-judge commission, headed by chief justice Nasir ul Mulk, that after the conclusion of the commission's process on Tuesday, Imran Khan held a press wherein he threatened Mahboob Anwar, the witness from Punjab Election Commission.

Hamid also submitted a transcript to the bench which confirmed remarks made by Imran at the press conference. Further, while stating that the media talk is causing hindrance in the work of the commission, Hamid said that the patron of rigging has also emerged.

Taking the matter into consideration, the chief justice has summoned the counsels for PML-N and PTI in his chamber to discuss this matter. The hearing of case is adjourned until Thursday, May 14.
On May 12, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said that a systematic pattern in 2013 general elections has emerged, evidence of which was presented before the judicial commission.

“On average, 3% to 4% extra ballots were printed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P); however, in Safdar Abbasi’s electorate, who happens to be Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son-in-law, 16% extra ballots were printed,” Imran claimed, while addressing the media in Islamabad.
Adding that in Lahore, 120,885 extra ballots were printed in NA-125.
The PTI chief also argued that the role of Punjab’s election commissioner Anwer Mehboob in rigging was also evident.
