APPLA meets education minister

Representatives of All Pakistan Professors and Lecturers Association (APPLA) called upon the federal education minister on Tuesday and put forth demands of the teaching community, principally agreed by earlier governments but which had never materialised.

APPLA head Dr Zahid Sheikh told the minister that reduction of tax rebate is adversely affecting the financial condition of the teaching community and demanded the government withdraw the decision of reduction from 75% to 40%.
