MANSEHRA:
Police and intelligence agencies in a joint operation on Tuesday seized seven IEDs, two locally made bombs, two hand grenades, a suicide jacket, 2kg explosive materials and ball bearings in the Swatiabad Bherkund in Mansehra.

DSP Zulfiqar Jadoon rold The Express Tribune that police have taken a man into custody following the operation.

The man is affiliated with an extremist group, but police have not disclosed his identity as yet.


Around four paramilitary troops and two police officials were also killed in separate bomb attacks in northern Pakistan.

The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the attacks in Kurram Agency and Mansehra district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
