Want to avoid looking dry and dull this summer? Consume eight glasses of water everyday and avoid eating junk food, suggests an expert.

Aashmeen Munjaal, owner of a New Delhi-based Star Salon n' Spa, shares seven useful tips to flaunt flawless and healthy skin.

1. Drink water



Drink six to eight glasses of water daily, it helps hydrate your skin while simultaneously flushing out toxins from your body.

2. Moisturise



Apply banana, coconut milk and honey, these foods help moisturise your face and prevent wrinkles and dark circles.

3. Avoid junk food



Avoid eating junk food! It not only creates a deficiency of nutrients, but also leads to an increase of toxins in the body and not to forget junk food is terrible for the skin. Eat food rich in vitamins and minerals, they are a great way to detoxify your body.

4. Apply toner




Mix a pinch of camphor with a few drops of vitamin E oil and rose water. Properties of these three ingredients leave skin soft and nourished.

5. Use honey and lemon



For a quick glow, apply a mix of honey (1tbsp) and lemon juice (1tbsp). Rinse after a few minutes.

6. Use aloe vera and honey



Mix aloe vera gel with honey and apply to your skin for a natural glow.

7. Use ice



Take some ice in a muslin (mulmul) cloth and rub it over your face for 30 minutes before heading out for an event.
