Search operation: Militant killed in encounter, four BLF men held from Hub

In a separate raid, FC arrests four suspects and also recovered weapons from their possession in Bakhtiarabad area

A wanted militant accused of being involved in multiple cases, including gas pipeline sabotage, was shot dead in an encounter and three others were arrested in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan.


According to a Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman, paramilitary troops went after the suspect in the Baim Shai Nullah area of Sui in Dera Bugti on Sunday. “After heavy exchange of fire a wanted militant, Sain Baksh, was killed and three others arrested,” he said.


In a separate raid, FC rounded up four suspects and also recovered weapons from their possession in the Bakhtiarabad area of Jaffarabad district he said.


Meanwhile, FC has booked four militants of the defunct Baloch Liberation Front from the Hub area of Lasbela district which borders Karachi. BLF is known for attacking security forces’ convoys.
