K-Electric (KE) has launched a campaign, Operation Burq, against defaulters and those involved in electricity theft, in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency and other law enforcement agencies.
In a press statement, KE said that the defaulters have been granted amnesty to pay their outstanding electricity dues by May 15.
The power utility further said that no legal action would be taken against power thieves who voluntarily step up and report discrepancies in electricity meters to the relevant integrated business centres or the response centre, which can be reached by dialling 118.
