Residents of Shakrial held a protest demonstration against water shortage in their neighbourhood in front of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Friday. The protestors demanded that WASA take steps to ensure uninterrupted supply of water. They said a tube well in the area was out of order and the agency was not repairing it. Residents of Saidpur Scheme No 2, New Phagwari, are also facing water shortage for the last one week.
