Arrests: Two men caught for Shikarpur blast
The suspects, Mir Hasan Rind and Waqar Mahar, have confessed to their involvement
SUKKUR:
The Shikarpur police arrested on Friday two men believed to be involved in the deadly bomb blast at the city's imambargah on January 30 this year. They made the arrests on the basis of information provided by arrested militants, Khalil Brohi, Ghulam Rasool Brohi and Zamir Marfani, who are part of a terrorist network that has carried out many attacks in Shikarpur and adjoining districts, including the Shikarpur imambargah. The suspects, Mir Hasan Rind and Waqar Mahar, have confessed to their involvement. According to initial investigations, they joined their accomplice Khalil for militancy training in Waziristan's Ustad Aslam Camp. They are part of a sleeper cell of banned organisations that stay dormant until they are given directions to carry out terrorist acts, said Shikarpur SSP Saqib Memon.
