Rejoinder: Spokesperson issues clarification

The spokesperson of Bilawal House, Jameel Soomro, has issued a clarification in relation to a news story, ‘Policy statement’: PPP backs Saudi intervention in Yemen’ published on March 30, 2015. The PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari’s statement quoted in the story was read out by Senator Rehman Malik instead of being issued as routine press release from the media cell of Bilawal House, said Soomro. He said that he informed the reporter that he was not in possession of a copy of the said statement but was quoted as saying that, “We cannot confirm that it is PPP’s policy statement.”
