Plots allotment: LHC directs LDA to present record

The judge issued the directions

LAHORE:
Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday summoned the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) estate management director while hearing a 27-year-old plots allotment case. The petitioner claims that in 1988, the then Punjab chief minister had allotted the plots in violation of rules. Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan of the LHC directed the LDA’s counsel to provide details of the plots and inform him under what circumstances had the then chief minister exercised his discretionary powers to allot the plots. The judge issued the directions while allowing Advocate Noshab A Khan to become party to the case. The next hearing will be held on May 26.
