Since winning the prestigious title of Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become a recognized beauty in the media industry, and it is no surprise that she has now been voted as the 'Forever Desirable'.

According to Pinkvilla, a leading daily conducted an online survey which asked readers to vote the 'Forever Desirable' from a list of entrants. The former beauty queen took the cake by raking in the highest number of votes, making her the first female to win the title.

The model-turned-actress has been mentioned in international news time and again for her beauty.

In a reader's poll conducted by UK's Hello! magazine, she was voted "the most attractive woman of 2003". In 2005 she was the subject of a 60 Minutes (American TV show) profile which said that "according to thousands of web sites, internet polls and even Julia Roberts", Aishwarya is "the world's most beautiful woman". The British magazine Maxim ranked Aishwarya first on their list of "Hottest Women of India".

If that's not all, in 2005 she was ranked number nine on Harpers and Queen's list of "Most Beautiful Women in The World". In the following year Aishwarya was featured in People Magazine's May edition as one of the "World's Most Beautiful People". The UK magazine Eastern Eye ranked her third in the list of "Asia's Sexiest Women" in 2006 and later in 2009 she was ranked eighth in the same list.

Her beauty aside, Aishwarya has made her mark in B-Town with acting and dancing skills. She was recently seen shooting for Sanjay Gupta's film Jazbaa which will be released in October this year. She plays a lawyer in the action-drama with costar Irrfan Khan.

She will also be seen alongside Anushka Sharma in Karan Johar's new venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
