The victim’s heirs had previously said that she accidentally shot herself
LARKANA:
The death of a newly-wed woman in Bhambho Shaikh village on Monday turned out to be a murder as Naudero DSP Yasin Tagar stated that she was killed over allegations of karo-kari. He claimed that the deceased Dilshad Khatoon, 18, was buried without fulfilling Islamic burial rites. The victim’s heirs had previously said that she accidentally shot herself while putting her husband’s gun in a safe place. However, her father claimed that her husband, Abdul Aziz Shaikh, killed her over a domestic dispute, while other sources alleged that she was shot by her brother for karo-kari.
