Selling carcass: Three slaughterhouses sealed
Cases have been registered against them.

The Livestock Department seized more than 2,200 kilogrammes of unwholesome meat during a crackdown on illegally established slaughterhouses. Livestock Deputy District Officer (DDO) Rahat Ali told The Express Tribune carcasses were seized during raids at slaughterhouses in Kot Kamboh, Islamia Park and Samanabad. He said all three slaughterhouses, operating without permission of the district government, had been sealed. He said 10 butchers – Irfan, Salman, Naeem Bhutta, Shahnawaz, Malik Shehzad, Arif, Malik Sharafat, Tariq Ali, Raheem and Usman Ahmad – had been arrested and cases had been registered against them.
