Grand feast: 60 couples tie the knot in Faisalabad
“The Medina Foundation has borne all the expenditures of hosting more than 2,000 guests,”
FAISALABAD:
As many as 60 couples tied the knot on Saturday at a ceremony organised by the Madina Foundation.
Imam Bin Hussain Bin Ali Zainul Abidin from Medina was the chief guest at the function at the University of Faisalabad (TUF). He prayed for the newly weds.
“The Medina Foundation has borne all the expenditures of hosting more than 2,000 guests,” TUF Board of Governors chairman Mian Muhammad Hanif said. He said the couples had been given dowry.
TUF Rector Abdul Majeed praised the Medina Foundation and university students for arranging the marriages. “We have been preparing for this event for nearly five months. Today we have been successful in our cause of serving the poor,” he said.
He said most of the brides and bridegrooms were orphans having limited resources to arrange their marriage on their own.
