
The district administration has imposed Section 144 around the examination centres, according to which the gathering of five or more persons outside the examinations centers is strictly prohibited. Nevertheless, a large number of people are seen wandering outside the examination centers to provide cheating material to candidates with the help of the exam centre staff and police personnel. BISE Sukkur controller of examinations Abdul Sami Soomro told The Express Tribune that over 1,000 candidates have been caught for copying so far.
According to the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, examinations controller, Masroor Ahmed Zai, 22 vigilance teams are monitoring the exams at 122 examination centers. According to the board authorities, a total of 248 students have been booked for cheating in four days including 37 on April 28, 41 on April 29, 111 on April 30 and 59 on May 2. Ten impersonation cases have also been detected while three external examiners have been removed from duty.
