Jhelum district government and the British High Commission have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to carry out joint efforts to eradicate forced marriages and other family disputes of overseas Pakistanis.
David said that the UK High Commission needed help from local government functionaries to resolve family disputes of expatriate Pakistanis.

The MoU was signed by Head Assistance Unit British High Commission Albert David and Chairman District Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and MPA Chaudhry Lal Hussain at the DCO office here on Thursday.
MPA Hussain said that the Punjab government was paying attention to resolve problems of overseas Pakistanis. DCO Jhelum Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman said the problems of the overseas Pakistanis could not be resolved unless coordinated efforts were made by all the stakeholders.
