PESHAWAR:

Members of the Shuhada Ghazi Forum have demanded the federal government form a judicial commission to investigate the brutal attack on the Army Public School (APS) on December 16, 2014.

The forum members were addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Friday. “Four months have passed and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not even expressed his solidarity with parents of APS martyrs,” claimed the forum’s general secretary Ajun Khan.

Talking about the PM’s visit on Friday, he said Sharif has only come for “point scoring”. Parents questioned why the government has not launched a proper investigation into the APS massacre. “The wife of Punjab chief minister Tehmina Durrani just came for a photo session and did nothing for the victim families,” said a mother of one of the martyrs, “If the central and K-P government cannot provide justice, we will protest internationally.”
