Dr Najeeb Khan replaces Rao Anwar as SSP Malir
SSP East Peer Muhammad Shah had been given additional charge of District Malir after SSP Rao's suspension on Thursday

A day after SSP Malir Rao Anwar had been suspended for misusing his authority,Dr Muhammad Najeeb Khan has been named as the new SSP for the district.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had taken notice of the ‘unusual’ press conference and abuse of authority by Anwar, following which IG Sindh suspended SSP Anwar late on Thursday night, ordering him to report to the Central Police Office.

IG Sindh had initially given SSP East Peer Muhammad Shah additional charge of District Malir. But on Friday, Dr Najeeb Khan was posted to the district.
Earlier on Thursday, SSP Rao had presented two alleged terrorists who he claimed belonged to the MQM. The official further claimed that the MQM was actively working against Pakistan.
Rejecting Anwar’s claims, MQM chief Altaf Hussain had said that he did not wish to respond to his allegations. Further, he said that Anwar's suspension was not enough and that he must be legally prosecuted.

“The (SSP Rao Anwar’s) press conference reminded me of the ‘90s,” Rizvi said, adding that allegations made then were being repeated. “There was nothing but lies in it (Anwar’s press conference).”
