Travel hazard: 15 injured in traffic accident

Fifteen people were injured in a collision between a bus and trailer on Wednesday.



A Rescue 1122 spokesman said a Faisalabad-bound bus had collided with a trailer truck on the Kacha Khoo overhead bridge.


They said Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Mustafa, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Nadeem, Farhan Akhtar, Talib Hussain, Tanzeel Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Hanif Bibi, Kaneeza Bibi, Muhammad Adeel, Muhammad Yaseen, Muhammad Shahbaz and Zainab Bibi were injured.


Rescue 1122 officials reached on the scene and took the injured to the district headquarters hospital in Khanewal where doctors said three of them were in a critical condition. Police seized both vehicles for investigation.  Separately, three people were killed on the spot in a collision between a car and a truck on Wednesday.


Rescue 1122 said Tahir Iqbal, a resident of Sadiqabad and two cell phone company employees Mubashar Naseer, a resident of Chakwal, and Tanveer Ahmed, a resident of Narowal died on the spot when their car collided with the truck.
