KARACHI: Pakistan men’s handball team won its opening match 40-30 against hosts Thailand on day one of the International Handball Federation (IHF) Continental Trophy in Bangkok on Wednesday.

Both teams were tied 17-17 after the first-half, after which Pakistan upped their ante in the second-half to win the match.

The national team will play its second match against Hong Kong on Thursday and the last league match against Uzbekistan on Friday.
