Balochistan chief minister condoles with bereaved family

QUETTA:
The head of the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) Talal Akbar Bugti was laid to rest in Dera Bugti on Tuesday. He had died of cardiac arrest in Quetta a day earlier.

His funeral prayers, headed by Mufti Muneer Ahmed, was offered in Bugti House, Quetta, from where the body was flown to Dera Bugti in a helicopter for burial in the family graveyard. The helicopter was provided by Commandant Southern Command Lieutenant Nasir Khan Janjua.

Talal’s brother Jameel Akbar Bugti and son Shahzain Bugti also attended the funeral, where a large number of people, including Bugti tribesmen, Balochistan Excise and Taxation Minister Jaffar Mandokhail, MPA Mir Mohammad Asim Kurd Gello and Mir Sarfraz Khan Domki, were present.


Fifteen Bugti family members, including Shahzain, his mother and other relatives were also flown to Dera Bugti for Talal’s burial.

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch visited the Bugti House to condole with the bereaved family and offered Fateha for the departed soul. Talal, 63, was born in Dera Bugti on March 17, 1952. He was the fourth child of slain Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti. He had two elder sisters and an elder brother. He is survived by three sons — Shahzain, Gohram Bugti and Mir Chakar Bugti.
