Fatal accident: Five buffaloes electrocuted
The buffaloes belonged to a man in Bachal Shah Miani
SUKKUR:
Five buffaloes were electrocuted to death on Monday when a live, high-tension conductor snapped and fell on them in the Dadu Canal, one of the offshoots of the Sukkur barrage. The buffaloes belonged to a man in Bachal Shah Miani, who used to bring them to the right bank canal to bathe and graze. The district government had ordered the shifting of cattle pans out of the city to maintain hygienic standards. Most of them were shifted to a cattle colony 15 kilometres away from Sukkur. There are still many cattle pans in the city, however, including in New Pind, New Goth and Rohri.
