Unauthorised fee use: ‘Regularise finances of educational institutes’

A sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee while taking note of unauthorised use of admission and tuition fee has asked the finance ministry to regularise finance matters of educational institutes in the next budget.

A sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee while taking note of unauthorised use of admission and tuition fee has asked the finance ministry to regularise finance matters of educational institutes in the next budget.
The sub-committee which meet under the chair of Raja Javed Ikhlas discussed 15 audit paras of an audit report of 1998-99 of the ministry of education, now the Capital Administration and Development Division and noted that the education ministry utilised Rs3.512 million of tuition and admission fee on salaries of temporary employees and purchase of furniture.
The committee also directed the finance ministry to allocate appropriate budget for schools and colleges in the federal capital.
