Electoral rigging: ‘Commission must be independent’
“We will continue to raise voice until they are provided justice.”
MULTAN:
The judicial commission probing the electoral rigging allegations will be effective only if it works independently, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) president Raheeq Abbasi said on Sunday. Speaking to reporters, he called for providing justice to the victims of last year’s Model Town riots. “We will continue to raise voice until they are provided justice,” he said. He said PAT chief Tahirul Qadiri was away from the country for medical reasons. “Doctors in Pakistan have refused to treat him citing security reasons,” he said.
